About the Garden
The Zeeb Road Peony Garden sits on a quiet stretch of Zeeb Road in Ann Arbor, Michigan. What started in 2008 as a handful of bare-root peonies has grown into a collection of over 200 plants — a living catalog of heirloom and specialty varieties.
Each year, usually from late May through mid-June, the garden erupts. Tight buds the size of marbles swell into fist-sized blooms in every shade from creamy white to deep magenta. The fragrance carries across the yard — sweet, rosy, unmistakable.
The Collection
Our 200+ plants include herbaceous, intersectional (Itoh), and tree peonies. We grow classic varieties like Sarah Bernhardt and Bowl of Beauty alongside rarer cultivars. Each plant is labeled, tracked, and cared for by hand.
Fresh Flowers
During bloom season, we offer fresh-cut peonies for pickup from the garden. Availability varies by week and depends on what's blooming. Check the bloom status on our home page, and place an order when we're accepting requests.
Visit
The garden is private but we welcome visitors by appointment during bloom season. It's a beautiful spot for a short walk, photos, or simply sitting among the flowers. Reach out through the order form to arrange a visit.
